Background/Requirements: Sand to Snow need a snowboard design that would match a location that they like to snowboard. Tahoe is located on the California and Nevada board and a popular location for the company to visit. I visited and snowboarded the area myself and the trees were my inspiration to the design. When they asked for me to design the snowboard the only requirements was it has to be from/about Tahoe and nature has be included.

Challenges: The biggest challenge was contrast. I had to edit the picture so that the trees didn’t blend with each other and the text would stand out.

Favorite Details: My favorite part of the design process was making a lot of variations for the snowboard before making the final. I started out with 20 sketches then 10 digital designs and 5 font variations and by the end of it I had 3 design. The last 3 designs I ended up combining to make the final design.
